For a sticky, sweet full moon of vibrancy, I wanted to tap into my Venusian energy to share some beautiful ideas and photos for you to have your best year yet. I always speak in ultimates, and I always think things are intensely wonderful and expansive or intensely dull and terrible. My goal is to share some ways to be lighter with this moon, especially because the past few months have felt so heavy with strife and discord as new planetary energy arrives to help facilitate more connection and break down emotional walls.
If I am truly honest, the past few months have been the hardest of my life. I have felt immensely low and, have had so much crumble away and slip right out of my hands (or at least that is how it felt). I feel as if I am floundering and I am not quite certain what the universe wants me to do so that I can feel like my life can be back on track however, I have decided to roll up my sleeves and get to work.
For me, getting to work can be simply deciding to show up every day and take care of myself. Making tea, caring for my hair, putting something nice on to wear are all forms of self care. Showing up for the world by sharing is a form of me connecting to my true self, and allowing people to see me although it can feel uncomfortable, is self care. For this new moon in Taurus I want you to consider ways you can incorporate self care into your life that feel welcomed, simple to implement, and don’t add one more thing, because honestly, now is not the time for that. It’s simply too much.
Now is the time to act on an idea or two that would bring you joy to have come to fruition in summer and pause to rest when you need to rest.
Now is the time to take inventory of your eating habits and see if they support your well being and mood. For me, that means sugar must be minimized as my energetic makeup and physical body are too sensitive to its dark powers.
Taurus season is one of my favorite times of year with the abundance of spring, travel on the horizon, and indulgence in what brings us joy. I love Taurus season.
This Taurus season I want you to connect with what brings you joy and find ways to do more of that.
Last year, I reflected on the last time I felt truly happy and it dawned on me that it was almost twenty years ago in my high school ceramics class. So I decided to return to ceramics and it has brought me such a reconnection to my true and best self.
With this, I inquire:
What it something you want to come to the surface, bring to light, start/or do?
How much love do you have in your life? Do you feel satiated by the love of your friends, family, partner, and pets?
Being single for a long time, I always felt like I lacked love and then I realized, there are so many ways to share and receive love! The strongest love that I have in my life is the bond between my daughter and I. It is an individual ecosystem that needs to be nourished and I must not consider lacking. Despite my shortcomings as a mother, I show up, I model both (positive and negative qualities), and I strive. I am abundant, as are you.
Inquiring further, I ask you:
What are ways you can support your own voice and perspective during this time?
How can routine feel supportive for you?
Where can you direct your energy?
What do you want to focus on?
In closing, I will share some moments from my weekend on the coast where I indulged myself in delicious meals, cold water plunges, art, and beauty. My Venus cup overfloweth with love, and I am ready to receive all the blessing the universe has to offer me, even those which I can not see, envision, or imagine yet to be possible.
What we invest our time and energy in is just as important as how we apply it, so now is the time to move forward with gentle action towards the life we envision for ourselves.
One of my favorite people in the world is fated to leave the earth sometime soon and as much as I want the sadness to consume me, I must feel joyous that I had the opportunity to encounter such a wonderful soul in this lifetime.
Now is the time for abundance, claim it and decide it will be yours.

Written under a sun and moon in Taurus, feeling extra calm, centered, and whole.
Ways to support yourself during this New Moon in Taurus:
This is a really special moon as we have Jupiter that has changed signs from Aries to Taurus, which is super fruitful, fiery, and action oriented and, Venus the planet of love, passion, desire, and pleasure in the picture. There is also a square of Jupiter and Pluto, so society will be seeing some more of the Aquarius collective energy coming to the forefront.
Jupiter brings in opportunities as long as our mind is open. Find ways to relax and receive beautiful moments, slowing down to ensure you are not rushing past life.
Build out an alter to support Jupiter and Venus. You can add some grapes, and anything that feels decadent and lush. I personally love Persian or Indian sweets with honey and spices.
This year has felt like a slow start and I still feel like I am trying to wake up. I am finally coming to the realization that slowing down is positive. So let yourself move slow. Take your time to respond to emails, take a day off to go sit by the sea, take time to let your mind integrate the lessons that have been coming at us a mile a minute. Take time away from the busyness of this modern, technology at the hip driven world. Take time to consider what ideas need to go to die.
Remember, the opposite of capitalism is to slow down. Slow down your purchases, slow down your meals, the way you prepare your meals, the way you eat. Slow down your process and see what no longer serves you, the collective, or humanity. Slow down to enjoy life.
Beautiful ideas to try:
Draw a bath
Write down some wishes and dreams, be bold and ask the universe for what you truly want
Enjoy a show of nostalgia from your childhood that reminds you of a time of joy, comfort or safety
Enjoy music that brings you joy. Sing along if it feels good. (For me, I have found I am singing Christmas songs)
Make some plans for where you would like to go this summer. Is there something you want to do but have not had the time to go? See where you can find the time on your calendar, even if it is in another year
Look back at photos from a day that brought you immense joy
Indulge in pleasure however you see welcome in your life
Nurture your relationship with yourself, or someone whom you share love with in your life
Although Mercury Retrograde is done, take time to rest and reflect on how you want summer to feel
Finally, I have a big ask. This publication has been growing, steadily and I am so thankful you all are here. Would you consider becoming a paid member to support the growth of the publication even further? Another helpful alternative would be to share this post with someone who it may resonate with.
Journaling posts are for my paid members only, but for this abundant and fruitful moon, I wanted it to be accessible to all.
As always, thank you for being here, and wishing you an abundant and supportive New Moon in Taurus.
In closing, I saw this beauty in the Mendocino Headlands. What is this flower?
