Lately, I have been musing on forgiveness.
What is it?
Why do we need it? and
Who ultimately can grant it for us?
Originally, I wrote something that no longer resonates fully anymore, and I have been contemplating on how to share it. Despite this, I still think it is a half-finished piece, and sometimes, that is alright. Despite our lives being a work-in-progress, they can still be shared (or not). So here it is:
That whole forgive yourself piece in my opinion was total crap until a couple of days ago. Starting from childhood, if you have not been taught the tools to enable you to heal yourself, it is going to be a long and bumpy ride.
There are days when I am wonderful and days when I regress into old familiar patterns, acting out like a pre-planned puppet show-script and all.
I believe that forgiveness starts with the ability to let go of the outcome you hoped to receive and that when your own self-worth, appreciation, and love grows, so does your forgiveness muscle.
I have been finding it much easier to forgive as of late, after all, I am a professional mistake maker myself.
I am learning to find joy in the smaller moments and take moments to rest.

As someone who is constantly seeking to evolve, what do you find most helpful?
I know this one was short and sweet, but I do have a lot more exciting news coming your way this Fall and new discoveries for the approaching new year. It sure is strange getting older.
